The Sticky Baby® Company Pty Ltd was formed in 2007 by mother and daughter team, Colleen Little & Karina Morrison.

Karina was a University Lecturer in Marketing for 10 years. She is also the mother of Mali and it is through this parenting experience that the idea of the Sticky Baby® Journal came about. She conducted formal research and, with Colleen's design expertise, developed a journal which parents wanted.

“Most baby journals on the market contained irrelevant information and they just seemed too hard to complete. I felt ‘guilty’ for not filling in blanks and they contained sections that I just didn’t feel were important to me. I spoke to other mothers about this, who also felt the same way. When I conducted formal research, this was an overwhelming dilemma. So using this feedback, we designed a journal which will be as unique as each individual child”.

Colleen has extensive design and calligraphic skills. Colleen has illustrated all stickers and has been instrumental in the overall design of the Sticky Baby® Journal. She continues to develop the 'extras' packages which will be available soon.

“When my own children had their babies I was constantly asked what they did at comparable times when they were babies. I was unable to answer with any assurance, as like all mothers, I was too busy to fill in a baby book - especially one that seemed irrelevant to me. I felt the spaces need to be written in “beautifully” and even though I was a calligrapher this was a task that was daunting. So I ended up with a collection of baby books with no information in them. How I would have liked to have had a journal that I could just jot down the everyday things. It is the journey that is so important.”
